Band committee
Kempenbloei is an official non-profit organisation under Flemish Law, also known in Dutch as a "VZW" ("Vereniging zonder winstoogmerk"). According to the band's official constitution, the band is governed by two institutions: the General Assembly ("Algemene Vergadering") and the Executive Board ("Raad van Bestuur"). Together, they are known to most members as as "the committee" ("het bestuur").
Executive Board
The Executive Board consists of 6 persons selected from within the General Assembly. They can legally act in name of the entire society. The six board members each have their own responsibilities.
General Assembly
The different divisions of kempenbloei (fanfare band, drumband, youth bands, twirl group and the "friends of the band") are represented in the General Assembly by their respective representatives. These people also take care of the day-to-day bussiness in the bands and youth groups. Some of these people also hold special responsibilities, like webmaster, librarian, members administration or insurances.

Annual General Meeting
Every year on the first Sunday after New Year, a General meeting for all members of Kempenbloei is organized. At this meeting, a summary of activities in the past working year is presented to the bands, as well as an official financial review. Also a budget plan for the next year is proposed to the committee members, and finally all members of the band get a chance to officially express their opinions about the running of the band.
As required by the band's constitution, the notes of this meeting are put on record and kept at the local court.
